Number of Latino students nearly doubled to 10 million in 16 years

A new Pew Hispanic Center report indicates that Latino students (K-12) make up one of every five public school students in the U.S.—approximately 10 million. The report was released by the center this week. It predicts continuing growth in the number of Latino students in U.S. public schools.
